My ancestors came from Northwest New Jersery; Sussex County to be exact. They also lived in and around Kingston, N.Y.; Ulster County. In my records I have a Josef Hornbucker whose name later became Joseph Hernbecker. This was in 1740 in and around Hunterdon County, New Jerser. In 1740-1745 Joseph's last name was Hornbaker. Then in 1747 there is a Joseph Hornbecker that was a member of the Lutheran Church at Foxhill.So I believe that the Hornbecks,Hornback, and Hornbakers are all related.
