Hi All,
I am helping my brother-in-law with his family tree.
I have Samuel (b. 6/1//1849) and Alma (Jenkins - b. 24/10/1854). They emigrated from England to Australia sometime after 1881 (possibly 1881/1882) with their chilren Annia Amanda Beatrice (1878), Richard Henry (1879) and Laura Jane (1881).
Samuel was born in St Hilary, Cornwall and Alma was also born i Cornwall (no idea where). They were married 8 June 1876 in Dalton-in-Furnace in Lancashire - so the supposition was that he was a miner - but no proof.
Does and of this ring a bell?
Alan
