Arthur L. Houdyshell family of Marion County, Indiana -- circa 1910

Arthur L. Houdyshell married Mary Lou Collett before 1911. I have located 2 birth records for the family, one in Marion county -- female child born May 7, 1913 -- and one in Johnson county -- Mary H. Houdyshell bron January 25, 1911. I also have a photocopy of an old photograph taken approx. 1904 showing Arthur, Mary, Wes, Dad and Mom. Wes was probably Wesley E. Collett. Dad and Mom were Charles H. Collett and Sarah Marie Hunt Collett. The small child was Glen Collett, brother to Wesley and Mary L. Collett Houdyshell. The note on the back of the photo says it was taken at "Dick's place".
If this family is familiar to anyone, please contact me via email and let's talk. I would like to know more about them and especially am interested in old photographs.

Looking for Ancestors and Descendants of Arthur Louis Houdyshell and Mary Louise Collett. They were married around 1901-1906 somewhere in Indiana. They are found on the 1930 Indianapolis Marion County census records with chilren: C.Louis Houdyshell (male age 22); Mary H. Houdyshell (female age 19) and Dorothy M. Houdyshell (female age 16). I was able to locate birth records for Mary and Dorothy -- Mary in Johnson county 5/25/1911 and Dorothy in 5/7/1913. I have not been able to find anything further on the family except Arthur's birthdate is listed on WW1 registration as May 15, 1881.

Ray and Hazel Houdyshell Headstone Photo - ID

Anyone interested in a quality digital headstone photo for Ray Houdyshell (1885-1920) and Hazel Houdyshell Robinson (1890-1987) please contact me at directly at dejadoo@runbox.com which is my linked address above, or simply reply to this query. There is absolutely no charge for this photo. The photo was taken at the Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, Canyon Co., Idaho. I am really enjoying photographing older headstones in cemeteries near where I live and half the fun of this project is sharing them with family or those who would like them.
The photos are taken with a 5 megapixel camera and after cropping and using minimal compression this photo is about . I hate to scrimp on quality or size of the image so that’s why the file size is large. Make sure your email box has the room before sending your request.
Phyllis, Adam Howdyshell's brother David is my GGG grandfather. I have Adam married abt. 1809 to Mary Bainter, and according to Rockingham County marriage records, he married again to Mary Sine on 2/20/1822. The children I have listed for Adam & Mary Bainter are: Julia Frances, Sarah, Elizabeth Betsy, Samuel, Henry, Mary Ann, & Jane. Does any of this sound familar? Do you have any records showing his date of marriage to Mary Bainter? I have lots of info on their father Lawrence. Would love to share info with you. Sincerely, Ann

Phil
A cousin sent me the german spelling, but I don't have it with me at this minute. My branch of Houdyshell, William A b 1818 Lincolin county Mo. Father was Joseph Howdershell, he orginated from NJ of the orginal Howdershell from Germany, had about 12 children who spread thruout the fledgling United States.
My William was born in Lincolin County Mo and moved thru Kansas and Wisc. He died in Grant Cty Wisc. His son Joseph went back to Lincoln Mo to handle his affairs as he didn't have a will.
Did a lot of diging to find just that. There were other family members who settled in Ks. Good luck on searching.
Yvonne
