I don't have information on Robert or any of Cleaver and Frances Hourigan's children, but I do have info on Cleaver. He was the son of Samuel Tilden Hourigan and Mattie Powars. Cleaver was born May 8, 1912 in Marion County. The family lived first near Gravel Switch and later in Lebanon. Samuel Tilden Hourigan (my great uncle) was born July 29, 1876 and died May 10, 1959. Mattie Powars Hourigan was born March 11, 1888, and died Jan. 21, 1972. They are both buried in the Hourigan Cemetery behind Beech Fork Baptist Church in Gravel Switch. For more information on the Hourigan Family, see my database on Rootsweb, CWAncestors. I remember "Uncle Sam" well -- he was born near the country's 100th birthday and the whole family knew him as Uncle Sam. Even his mailbox was designed as "Uncle Sam."
