Clarence E. Housh, 84, of Glen Haven died Sept. 21, 2004, at Estes Park Medical Center.
He was born May 21, 1920, in Lincoln, Neb., to Albert and Nellie Mae (Littlebridges) Housh. He married Mary Grafton on Oct. 17, 1940, in Platte City, Mo.
He spent four years in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a forward scout in an armored division, with tours in Germany and Belgium.
Mr. Housh was a self-employed house painter and antique dealer in the Kansas City, Mo., area.
In 1970, he and his wife fulfilled a lifelong dream and moved to Glen Haven, where they had owned property since 1950. After moving, the couple continued their antique business and sold items from locations in Loveland and Fort Collins.
For the last few months of his life, he lived at Prospect Park Living Center in Estes Park.
He is survived by a son, Clarence E. Housh Jr. and partner Jean Bradshaw of Kansas City; a daughter, Betty Todd of Estes Park; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Housh, and a daughter, Judy Chapin.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at Allnutt Funeral Service’s Estes Park Chapel. Friends not attending the
service can stop by the funeral home to sign a register book from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Estes Park Medical Center Foundation to benefit Prospect Park Living Center in care of Allnutt Funeral Service, 1302 Graves Ave, Estes Park, 80517.
