Mary Ellen (Connell) Hovan, 76, of Pittsburgh, died Sunday, April 3, 2011. She was the beloved wife of Raymond Hovan; daughter of the late Patrick and Katherine Connell; mother of Seth (Tim) Flaherty, of McKeesport; sister of Alfreda Polidora, Patricia Flannery, Dan Connell and the late Alfred and Anthony Yetka, Edward Connell and Charlene Wilson; and grandmother of two. She is also survived by her loving dogs, Clancy and Rachael. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main St., Munhall. Panachida at 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, Homestead.
