Classification: Query
Surnames: Howarth Haworth
I set up the Haworth-Howarth yDNA project in August 2009 to see what information could be gleaned about Howarth (all spellings including Heyworth) origins from yDNA testing.
We now have 12 members and seem to have established that there is a core Howarth family plus a number of Howarths with quite separate ancestry.
Where do you fit in?
If you would like to find out, and to participate in what is a very interesting piece of research, please either contact me at stehowarth@aol.com or log onto the project website at www.worldfamilies.net/surnames/haworth for information on how to take part. Because of the nature of yDNA testing only male Howarths (or female Howarths with a compliant male Howarth relation who is prepared to provide a DNA sample) can participate to find out their genetic origins. But everyone can access the website and look at the findings and Newsletter.
Thanks - I hope to hear from many of you.
