OBITUARIES

Archie Howell
Archie Howell, 74, of Morgantown, died December 31, 2001, at home.

He was born July 12, 1927, in Monongalia County, the son of the late John P. and Ella Mae Clear Howell.

He was the head of the Charleston district of the Mine Supply Company.

He is survived by sons and spouses, Terry and Patricia Howell, of Salem, Lt. Col. Mark and Linda Howell, serving with the United States Air Force; brother Floyd Howell, of Delaware; two grandsons, Erik Howell, of Salem and David Sapp, of Kettering, Ohio; two great-granddaughters, Misty Howell, of Charlotte, N.C., and Sheri Main, of Corvallis, Ore.; great-grandchildren, Casey Mae, Chase and Chance Howell, of Salem and Lacey, Collette, Brittany and Christa Sapp, of Kettering, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Howell in 1998 and a brother, Everett Howell.

Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2002, at Dering's Funeral Home, Morgantown. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2002, at Dering's Funeral Home, with the Rev. George D. Koon, Jr., officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Morgantown
