I think so. I'm related a long way back to a Hubbert from 1700s from Sibsey and I think the London ones are related to me. But all of my ancestors on my maternal grandmother's side are from Lincs.

Hi- yes the Hubberts were train drivers, I have found two that moved down to london. Yes hubbert's bridge is a train station, I am wondering if that is named after the Hubberts. I have discovered that Zechariah hubbert lived at Sibsey Turnpike and was wondering if that is the same as Hubbert's bridge? (Zach Hubbert b 1709 is my 5 times great grandfather).

Matthew Hubbert died in San Luis Rey, San Diego County, California.

Search Matthew Hubbert & Elizabeth Stallworth Thornton and you will find a long story about how Matthew ended up in San Luis Rey.

I am William C. Hubbert from Savannah Georgia USA. my canadian born parents came here from Hamilton after my father Jesse joined the American Army. He was a swimmer for canada going to the Olympics, but wasn't allowed to go because he came down with Scarlet fever. He had 6 brothers and 5 sisters all born in Hamilton. My grand father was from Hamilton as well and his father brought him from Ireland by way of England.Looking back in the "tree", I am William hubbert number nine... the first born in 1670's (they didnt record birth records before that i guess)Does anyone notice that the male Hubberts, percentage wise never live much older than 40 years old?

If you have ever been to Cork county, you'll know that it is a very small sea side village...i'm sure that there is farms and things surrounding the village, but it's really small...If you find any Hubberts in the area still, then you'll know that they are the ones you are looking for. Try a online phone book for ireland...I did it in Germany and found over 600 family's of Hubbert's.

Yes...same family..same place...also, you might want to check out Hamilton Ontario Canada...there is quite a few Hubbert public places as well.

I am trying to research my ancestors who lived in Sibsey, Lincolnshire. Close to Sibsey is Hubberts Bridge and I believe it to be a train station. My Aunt thinks one of our ancestors was a train driver but she cannot remember who told her that. Can anyone help please? Anything is appreciated.

I am doing the NORTH family, from Emily's sister Marian Gibbs & Jesse North. I have the shipping record, but we are wondering who was the Samuel Gibbs who came out on the same ship? If they were listed alphabetically, he might have been no relation at all. Their father was Hinton Gibbs II (b.7.7.1813 in Bedford,=m= Louisa Robertson) & his father was Hinton Gibbs I(Chr.31.12.1783 in Bedford.) but Hinton I's parents were John & Sarah, so maybe Samuel was a cousin.
Hinton I was a famous silhouette artist of the day; there are lots of brief biographies of him in Antiques Sales web pages. Hinton II had a brother James b.4.1.1816. I haven't been able to find any Samuel in the family from the records available, or to trace that man after his arrival in Oz. There are quite a few Sam Gibbses in Oz & NZ records, so there's no knowing which one he was.

There is apparantly at least three entirely separate lines of the Hubbert family. I am descedant of Col. James Hubbert (1741-1823)of East Tennessee. Some people think he was born in England and immigrated. Some people think he was born somewhere thw Virginia,/Carolina borderlands and moved into the Tennessee Country. His descendants are located Alabama, Missouri, Texas and California.

Searching for relatives that live in the St. Ingbert district in Saarland.. He was born 11/08/1895 in Schwelm and died 5/6/1964 in St. Ingbert, Saarland.. I wouldn't think so. He was a stepson in the family and his mother had remarried. The surname may supposed to have been Hubberd or Hubbard.
I started searching too late to ask the oldtimers whatever happened to him. Thanks for the response.

So where are you from? My ancestors are from England originally I think...though I have heard that we are from other parts of Europe as well. Some of hubberts, came to canada, some went to the united states and one I believe went to Ireland....tell me about what you know of your family....we probably have a common relative somewhere down the lines....

Margaret Hubbert Kerr Reynolds

I am searching for a date of death and a burial location for Margaret Hubbert Kerr Reynolds.

She was born 1811-1815 in Limestone,AL. Her first husband was Alexander Preston Kerr,2nd husband was Henry Reynolds.

Kerr is supposed to be buried in Kerr Cemetery,in the Republic,MO area. Henry Reynolds is buried at Short Cemetery,Hurley,MO. I've not found a record that puts Margaret at either place.

Hi Barbara, I found your query tonight and am wondering if you are related to Robert Badger who immigrated to Australia from the USA. He has two children Caroline and Gary. Robert's grandmother was Eliza (Bessie) Hubbert, immigrated from Ireland in 1873.

My grandfather Walter Hubbert was born in Barrie, Ontario (50 miles north of Toronto) in 1879 and moved to Toronto in 1898 where he lived for the rest of his life. He had a son Walter, born in Toronto about 1905 and a grandson Walter also born in Toronto. The only other Walter Hubbert in my extended family was born in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan in 1899, and I believe he has a grandson also called Walter born in 1963.
You would have to check the date of birth of your grandfather to see if any of these match.

I am descended from William Hubbert and Ann Teasdale who left Sibsey Lincolnshire to emigrate to Ontario in the 1850s. Three of William's brothers: Robert, James and Charles also emigrated to Canada.
