trying to locate any connections, I have Jacob Hubert, born about 1820, Hungary, marrying Margaret Flanzer, born about 1920, who in turn had daughter, Christina Hubert, born June 1, 1844 in Alsace. Christine married unknown Yung or Jung, and then Johann Kindl. Have no idea of any other siblings, or other relatives of Jacob Hubert and Margaret Flanzer. Any info would be appreciated--Thanks

Richard M. Hubert, 66, son of the late Ray and Daisy (Welshons) Kline;
Richard M. Hubert
Formerly of Turtle Creek

Richard M. Hubert, 66,
formerly of Turtle Creek, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008. Beloved son of the late Ray and Daisy (Welshons) Kline; survived by his cousin, Ralph (Alvira) Straley, of Chambersburg; his niece, Cynthia, of Boston, Mass.; his nephew, Ralph Jr., of Roanoke, Va.; his longtime friend and caregiver, Bob (Diane) Braun, of Penn Township; their children, Bobby, Steve, Casey and Jennifer; also survived by his friends and caregivers from Golden Living Center. Rich was born with cerebral palsy but accepted his life challenges with exceptional strength. Those that touched his life were forever blessed, as he was a very exceptional person. Rich worked for United Cerebral Palsy in Pittsburgh for 37 years. His disabilities never limited Richard's competitive spirit. He actively participated in hunting and fishing and regularly attended Steelers games. Richard has moved on but never will be forgotten.
He was loved by many because he loved and respected many. Friends
will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., corner of Shaw and Triboro avenues, Turtle Creek, 412-823-1950, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment will follow at Churchill Cemetery. The manner in which Richard lived his life was the example of the perfect American hero; he really was a remarkable person.
hubert -germany

My maternal great-grandfather was Heinrich Hubert. He married Wilhelmina Stevecken sometime in the mid 1850's and they lived in West Falen in Prussia where they had at least one child, Gustav, born in 1854. He came to England and married Emilie Adelaide White in 1882 who died in 1890, possibly in childbirth. In 1892 he married Louise Knoch (also German) who died approx 1950. By then he appears on the Census form as Frederick or Friedrich. He had a total of at least 14 children from both marriages born between approx 1883 and 1906. Names I have so far are Gertrude, Lillian or Lily, Ernest, Louisa, Gustav (died aged one), Rudolph, Wilhelm Oswald, Alma Roseling, David, Freda, Rosina Elizabeth, all definite and possibly Albert Gotfried, Christina, Marie Georgette, George Ernest, If anyone can make use of the details I have or even add to them please email me. Thank you, Cecilia Smith

I am just beginning a geneology for my family. I have virtually no information to go on concerning the Hubert branch. My grandmother's married name was Rosetta Mae Hubert, I do not know my grandfather's name nor my grandmother's maiden name. She had at least 5 children, Cyril, Willis, Vernon, Roy and Elsie, all of whom are deceased. If this fits into any of your research, I would appreciate knowing of it. Thank you!

Laurent Hubert from Contrecoeur, Verchères, Québec, late 1700s

Hello,
I am searching for information on Laurent Hubert. I believe he was born in 1776 in Québec. The information I have suggests his parents were Francois Marie Hubert (b. 1759?) and Marie Angélique Giard (b. 1763). Am looking for confirmation of his parents, as well as determining his wife and children, in particular, a daughter Cordelia. I believe his children included Clement (b. 1828), Pierre (b. 1830), Louis (b. 1832), Xavier (b. 1837), Cordelia (b. 1839), Dorothy (b. 1840) and Francois Marie (b. 1834). Any clues would be appreciated.

Old Photograph of an Edna Hubert

I have three original photographs of what I believe are Huberts from San Leandro, California. One is identified as Edna Hubert. The other two are unidentified but were taken at the same studio (Irvin) as the one identified as Edna Hubert, they look somewhat similiar, and it appears they were taken at the same time frame. I have attached the scanned images of these pictures. If you feel you are related to these women please let me know and I can mail them to you. If there are more than one person who would like these photographs then I can go to a photo place and have them copied there. I am not selling these pictures. I would like for them to go back to their families.

Dennis Hubert of Atlanta, GA. ~ Lynched in 1931

In 1931, Dennis Hubert, the son of a minister and a student at Moorehouse College, was in a park in Atlanta, Georgia. He saw three white women in the park who were drinking. One of them fell to the ground and Hubert remarked: “You better take the drunk lady home.” The very next day, a young white man shot and killed Hubert for the “crime” of insulting a white woman. Later, the killer was acquitted by an Atlanta jury. (more on website)

I am not related to this family, I'm just passing on this information I found while doing research on Lynchings. The link for the site is listed below.
Joyce

http://www.crimelibrary.com/notorious_murders/mass/lynching/...

This is a long shot but am hoping someone remembers 'family gossip' that might connect a Mr. Hubert with Cora Denomme. Clifford was baptised in the orphanage as Jean Marie Denome and as an adult used the name Jean Clifford Denome.
Thank you.
Karen

Apolline Hubert Dufresne photos

Hi! Three photos in attachments.

I have an older photo of Appoline Hubert Dufresne and her children plus some more. The first photo is probably from the 1890's. The third person on the left of the front row (in the light jacket) is Jeannette Angeline Dufresne born 1880. Next to her is probably Appoline.

The next two photos were found and seem to be from the Québec side. It is possible they come from the Irish or German lines (see tree), but they seem to favor the Dufresne's or Provost's. It is possible they are Hubert's or Rougeau's. Does anyone recognize the last two photos?

http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~stephcarson/provost...
If my information is correct, on April 5, 1728 in New Orleans Jacques HUBERT (Ignace H. dit Lacroix & Barbe CHAUVIN) was married to his cousin Marie-Catherine NEVEU or NEPVEU (Jacques & Michèle CHAUVIN). Both bride and groom were born in New France (Montreal and Ile d'Orléans, respectively. I have traces of 3 daughters and one son from them, the son being Daniel, who appears at a family council in New Orleans on march 4, 1746.

I am trying to see if there is a relationship between the Hubert/Neveu (Nepveu) couple above and a string of Hubert-Neveu or Neveu-Hubert that shows up later in/near Pontiac, Co on the border between Quebec and Ontario.

- Caroline Nepveu-Hubert weds Richard Lafrenière on 10 Nov. 1873 in La Passe (Ont.)
- Héléne Neveu weds Richard's brother, William Lafrenière on 28 Apr 1873 in La Passe (Ont)
- Jean Hubert-Neveu weds (1st m) Laura Dumouchel on 12 Jun 1904 in ......., & (2nd m.) Aimée Marion on 29 Feb 1916 in La Passe (Ont)

Those 3 are the offsprings of Narcisse Neveu-Hubert and Amélia Boyer, married on ..... at ..... (Ste-Anne, but which one?).

Narcisse in turn is the son of ....... Eubert or Hubert Neveu and Josephte Michel, married on .... at .......

Any help would be appreciated.

Jean-Paul HUBERT
