I'm looking for info on the family of Elsworth Ross Huddy, born January 01, 1909 in Nelsonville, Athens Co., OH; died March 03, 1998 in Charleston, Kanawha Co., WV. He married (1) Catherine Lucille McLaughlin, b. Feb 1910 d. 30 May 1968, daughter of John Joseph McLaughlin and Annie Dent. He married (2) Helen Rudman Smith. E. R. & Catherine had 2 children, Ross Irwin Huddy, born October 11, 1930; died December 1983 in St. Albans, Kanawha Co., WV, and Ann Huddy, born 10 Jul 1935.

E.R. Huddy's parents were James Ross Huddy, b. 12 Jun 1883 d. 15 Jun 1956 and Nellie Groce, b. 24 Aug 1876 d. 14 Jan 1972. He had a sister named Delilah (m. Henry Nunnenkamp) and a brother, John Irwin born 21 Aug 1907 (m. Hattie Louise Custer).

Catherine “Katie” McLaughlin had 3 sisters: Charlotte (m. Cecil Ira Sayre), Delma (m. James Cahill), & Frances (m. Walter Beckner) and 2 brothers: Gordon Dent McLaughlin, and John J., who died in Italy during WWII.

John Joseph McLaughlin was b. 3 Sep 1888 in Fayette Co., WV & d. 8 Sep 1835. His wife, Annie Dent died in 1933-34. John’s parents were William McLaughlin, 1852-1916, & Annie Holmes, 1861-1955.

Ross Irwin Huddy, s/o Elsworth, married Judith Ann Schenz, d/o George Walter Schenz and Mabel Llewellyn Hilt.
