UPDATE:
I have recently discovered that ALOISIA HUDEC-CMOLIK had two additional sisters that remained in Czechoslovakia:
ROSE Hudec - married UNK Kadies
BARBARA Hudec - married UNK Straka
also, sister;
MARIE Hudec-VLACH (1871-1952)who emmigrated to USA, married,
Mathius VLACH (1868-1915). Marie lived and died in Cuyahoga Co., Ohio. They had one known daughter, Rose, who married Anton CAMPULA. Rose and Anton had one daughter, Dorothy who married Bernard MEKSULA; all now deceased.

Still looking for additional information on this family.

Found lg packet of letters, sent to a "Hudec" in Ct. c/mid 40s from Sweden, Germany, and Czechoslovakia. If you are related and can identify the recipient, I will send them to you. Hoping as you should, that they will end up in the hands of a researcher that will use them to further the families interests. None are in english!

I am looking for relatives of my grandfather's sister,
Mary (Seda) Hudec. We know little about their family.
Mary was born around Howells, NE in 1886.
Her siblings were: Emil, Adolph, Agnes, Emma, Rudolph
& Bernice. Mary and her family lived in the Elgin, IL area.
She passed away in 1970.
Any info would be appreciated.

I had no idea that there were so many Hudec's out there. I was just trying to find out more about my dad's side of the family. I'm Czech, so I don't know if Hudec is a name outside of... well Czechoslovakia. I'd love to hear from anyone. If you'll just put HUDEC as the subject so that I don't delete it as spam. Thanks!

I hope I can of of some help to someone I have paperwork on a John Hudec who changed his name to hudson he lived in Cleveland ohio
so here we go
John Frank Hudec(Hudson)7/21/1852-11/19/1873
married Katherine Kraushaar 1857-10-27-1942
their children were
Katherine Hudec 1-1-75-12-9-85
Cora M. Hudec died 9-16-1948
she was married to Clem Jacovs
and Rose A. Hudec no virth or death info
All of the children except Katie had their last name changed to Hudson.
and father and mother and daughter Katie were vuried in woodland cemetary and then moved into the Riverside cemetary in the 50's .

Looking for information on the family (ancestry) of ALOISIA HUDEC (1890-1983) born, Kolvin CZ. Father JOSEF HUDEC; mother ANTONIE VANK(ova). Married VACLAV CMOLIK (1885-1957) in Skorice Parish CZ; very near to the village of Kolvin. Emmigrated to USA in 1911, to Chicago.
ALOISIA had at least one sister that emigrated and settled in Cuyogha Co., OH. VACLAV CMOLIK also had family that emmigrated to America. Possibly to Cyougha Co., OH, and/or Illinois.

Veronique married Paul Wychopen, Marianna married Albert Wychopen and Frances married John Mynarcik. They came to the US in Galveston, TX in 1906 from Czech. Any information would be helpful. I may or may not know anything about your family. My great great grandfather's name was James Hudec. He was born in 1874. These are the names of his sisters and brothers: Bohus, Charles, Mary, Agnes, and Veronica. Their parent's names were John Hudec and Frances Cerny who came to America from Czech. The Charles mentioned above may or may not be the one you are asking about.

I'm your cousin (Bill's daughter.) I found some
interesting stuff about our ancestors.

Joseph Rehanek (our great-grandfather) was born in Prague in 1879 and immigrated
to the US at age 2 through the Baltimore port.

Anna Hudec was born June 30, 1882 in W. Pennsylvania
She is listed in the social security index, so I'm going
to send away to find out her parents' names.

I've not found much about Grandmother's parents, except their
names-- and this only from a message Kathy posted. I'm going to
contact her and see if she's found anything else.

I am a great-granddaughter of Joseph Rehanek and Anna Hudec. They were from Fayette County in PA. i believe that they started out in Continental #3, an area near Uniontown, Pa where many members of the Rehanek-Hudec family still reside as well as members of the Hudec side of the family.

If I come accross as being a little hostile thats because I am. You never tried to be a part of Daddy's life when he was healthy alive to do so. It makes me sick to think that you had to wait until he is no longer here to try to learn more about him. Maybe if you would have tried to be apart of his life you would know more about his family. You and Danny both couldn't even come up with your part to pay for Daddy's headstone. I had to do it myself. What should I expect you and Danny have always been selfish anyway. Neither one of you deserve to be called a Hudec! You are not even woth the Hudec blood that runs through your veins. I can't say have a nice life because I hope it is hell for both of you.

Any information on Frances and Jacob Hudec who came to America in 1874. They settled in New York City for about 5 years. After Jacob's death Frances moved to Nebraska to live with relatives.Frances eventually moved to Stockton Ca where she died in 1933.
