There is a lot of misinformation out there on this family. There is no proof that Bennett Hudkins married a Nancy Anglin. He did marry a Nancy (last name unknown). And, there is no proof he came from Shropshire, England. I simply think that some researchers did some crative writing. If any one has any proof, please let me know.

On Oct 13 there is to be a reunion of the Hudkins family cousins in marion ohio. It will be a pot luck picnic, in the park where we all went as kids with all the parents. Lincon park? My Mom passed away in Nov. We buried her in the family plot in WV. She is on top of her father and next to Thomas and the other child that died as a infant. Next to them are the great grandparents.

I have believed for some time that all the families with the spelling Hudkins are from the same Bennett Hudkins, wife Nancy (last name unknown), who lived in Randolph and Barbour Counties of what is now WV. Hudkins and Indian Blood

I was told that my thrid or fouth grandfather married a cherokee. So that would be Thomas Lee Hudkins. B. 5-23-1852. D. 7-13-1921 Have his wife as 2cd as Susan Virginia Smith.
My fourth grandfather was Bennett Ingram Hudkins B.5-11-1807 D.4-9-1874. He married Nancy Euritt from Ireland. Belive his mom and Dad was bron in Ireland, Richard and Elizabeth. or they could have been from England. I have found it both ways.
Can anyone help me with this. and trhanks for the help.

If you will look at worldconnect.rootsweb.com in the hud-2 database you will find Lulu Belle/Ezra/Richard/Bennett Jr/Bennett Hudkins.
Ezra was born and died in Fulton County Ind. Lulu Belle married Otto Cooper.

Hi, i'm the daughter-in-law of Gilbert Hudkins, if your Ace is the right one, he was Gilbert's brother, and he had a brother Delmar who lived part of the time in Cal. He also had a daughter Olivia and Rose Maria. I'm interested in finding out if this is the same Hudkins.

I am replying here so others can find it. Look at worldconnect.genealogy.rootsweb.com and move the screen down so you can see "jump to a specific database" and type in hud-2. You will find all your information and someone who has posted a "post-em" on Ezra which will give you someone to contact.

These are descendants of Bennett Hudkins Jr. b.1787. I am a descendent of his brother Richard b.1777; however I do have a picture of a "Jud Hudkins family in Indiana" that I would pass on to anyone who has that connection.

Richard Hudkins, s/o Bennett and Nancy (Anglin) Hudkins, born 1795, married Elizabeth Ingram, Randolph co., on Nov 5 1804. Elizabeth is the d/o Abraham Ingram and Elizabeth Slaven. This Richard Hudkins died Dec 1, 1844 in Barbour Co, buried Nutter Cemetary. I do have in my notes "wife perhaps Elizabeth Anglin" so I guess this question has been raised before. I'm afraid I can't clarify it any further, having not done much on this connection, as my family desc. from Ralph Hudkins, Richard's brother. You do mention Skidmore, I know Richard's brother Basal (various spellings) married Nancy Skidmore(aug 1, 1803 in Randolph co) but they apparently had no children, and she remarried, I think, to a Scott, tho I can't find my notes on this right now..........
Mainly I would like to know the surname of Ralph Hudkins' wife, Susan or Susannah.

I have Jane's father as John Anglin, b.1804, W.VA. mother was Sara Johnson. Their children were Adrian, Washington, Johnson,William G., Abigail and Jane. There is a cemetary in Kosciousko Co., Indiana (Stoney Point) that has many Anglins buried there. Also, I found somewhere that Richard Hudkins d.1885 and is buried in Fulton Co., Indiana. My great grandmother's name was Jane Hudkins Cleveland. Her father was Richard Hudkins and mother, Jane Anglin. Lived in Indiana, Kosciousco Co. I was looking for info on Richard Hudkins. I think he was a brother to Bennett as they came from W. Va. Got most of my info thru Anglins. I never figured out what happened to Richard Hudkins, but I think Jane Anglin Hudkins must have died then Richard Hudkins remarried and left Indiana. Only speculation on my part. Interestingly enough Jane Hudkins married Addison Cleveland. They lived in Indiana, Kosciousco Co. Would be interested if anyone has further info on Richard Hudkins. Thanks, Sandy
