John William Franklin married Nancy Jane Stoops (2/20/1850-8/15/36). They had six children {J.W. Hudson, Nancy Frongin (col.), Sam E.(Council Grove area), R.D.(Millerston,Iowa),Elinor Clayton (Wilsey area), and G.E. (Council Grove area)

John W.S. Hudson served in the 99th ILL. infantry Co. C from 1861-1865 is buried in Wilsey Cemetary.
