I am wondering if Huerta is typically a surname? My third great-grandfather named one of his children Huerta (who in turn named one of his sons Huerta, and he, his son). I am wondering if this is possibly an insight into who my grandfather Henry's mother may have been (is is possible that he gave his son his mother's maiden surname?).
