Hi All,

I'm doing research into my grandfather Alvin Erastus Huffman. He was born 12 Feb 1900 in Baxley, GA. Parents are Addie Grover and William A Huffman. William A Huffman seems to be the son of Alfred Huffman/Hoffman from Tennessee (Chatanooga, TN area according to family rumor)
Alvin's wives were Vera, Emeline, and my grandmother Mildred. I am hitting a dead end on this. My mom doesn't have much information except that his sister Maebelle married a Carter in GA and she had a son - William A Carter, who took the last name Huffman.I don't know if this would have been a legal name change or not. Addie, William A. Sr, Maebelle and Alvin are all buried in a country cemetary in Waycross, GA. It just seems impossible to me that there isn't anything on this family in Ancestry. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
