None of the family names that you mentioned ring any bells for me. However, the place name does!

My ancestor, Edward B. Hughes, died in 1752 near the Gawley River, Kanawha CO, WVA. He was buried in Nicholas CO, WVA. His wife, Elizabeth Grigsby also died in that area many years later. Their son Nathaniel was buried in the Hughes Cemetery, AKA Military Cemetery in Nicholas CO, WVA in 1783.

I do not find a Richard listed in my records, but that meams nothing. By 1813, most of my Hughes ancestors had moved to SC, and then on to Alabama.
