My family of HUME comes from York, & Durham, but also one family moved to Middlesboro. If you can contact me direct at john.hume@ntlworld.com I can enlighten you further. My Middlesboro connection is John HUME who lived at Seamer, north Yorkshire and was a schoolmaster.
