John R. Humes, 62, of Deerfield, NH, died May 30, 2009 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH after a sudden illness.
Mr. Humes was born in Worcester, Massachusetts, a son of John & Eleanor (Mezzano) Humes and had been a Deerfield, NH resident for many years.
Mr. Humes was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran of the Vietnam War era.
He was a sales representative with Eastern Bearing Company.
Mr. Humes was an avid outdoorsman who very much loved his family and his dogs.
Family includes his wife of 40 years, Kathleen (Rooney) Humes of Deerfield, NH; a daughter, Sandra H. Hewson of Ballston Spa, New York; a brother, Daniel B. Humes of Woonsocket, Rhode Island; as well as nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cate & Johnson Funeral Home, 573 Pine Street, corner of Harrison Street in Manchester, NH.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Cate & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Service will take place on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Cemetery in Upton, Massachusetts.
