In the Ithaca, NY Directories, 1888 - 1891, the occupation for Horace N. HUMISTON appears as Law and Detective Agency.

Does anyone know a bit of local history about this agency? Would there be a particular book about Ithaca which would
possibly reference this agency?

One of Horace's daughters, Ida, was married to my Great Great
Uncle, William W.B. WILLIAMS.
They all lived on Linn Street at the time of 1888 - 1891.

Any known descendants or family history of Ida (nee' Humiston) and William Williams?
