I am tracing my grandfather's family and on one of the birth certificates the name "Wash" is added before Humphrey. I have been able to trace back to between 1870 and 1893 when the Humphrey family had a housekeeping named Wash. I am working on the assumption (??!!) that the Humphrey descendents are a combination of this relationship. However, I cannot find any further details. Can anyone help me please. Pam
