Re: John Hun

The book was in the library at the Iowa Historical Society. Next time I go to he historical society for research, I'll see if I can get the authors name. There was a short biography of David Simons as well as his son William along with tons of other Warren Co., Iowa people. I since have found out that the book had Amanda's last name as Hun but I found her on ancestry.com and the name was spelled Hunn.<br>Ken Dunlap

Is that information accessible on line? Is the book available to the general public? Do you know if it went beyond his parents? Thanks (sorry for so many questions!)!

Re: John Hun

A man who I believe is the brother of my GG Grandfather was married to a woman named Amanda Hun. Erastus Simons was born in Connecticut, moved to NY, then to PA, then to OH, then to IA, KS and back to IA, where he and Amanda (Hun) Simons are buried. I got her maiden name out of a book "History of Warren County" (Iowa), in the Biography write-up of David N. Simons, son of Erastus and Amanda (Hun) Simons. Erastus and Amanda were both born abt 1812. Ken Dunlap
