I have a photo of the gravesite of Tom Hunter (John T. Hunter, Sr., 8/9/1887 - 12/18/1960) and Ida Taylor (3/6/1893-8/29/1979). He was my mother's uncle. They are buried at Sand Hill Baptist Church in Kershaw, SC.

I am also, I think, related to the Caston family. Samuel Haile Hunter was my
mother's father. He was married to Nannie Truesdale. Her death certificate
says that her mother was Nancy Caston and her father John Truesdale.
She was born about 1865, so I think her parents' marriage and the death
of Nancy Caston, the mother, may escaped the census. 1870 Census shows her living with John Truesdale, who is in his 50's, and a young brother named James. We think that Nancy was the second wife of John H. Truesdale.
Nannie Truesdale and Sam Hunter are buried at Sand Hill Baptist Church. Nearby is buried the widow of B.B. Caston (Blair Burwell Caston) who was killed in the Civil War. She was named Mary Truesdale Caston (12/24/1832 - 8/23/1899). A genealogist at Camden Archives in SC said that Mary Truesdale Caston is the daughter of John H. Truesdale, and is perhaps Nannie Truesdale Hunter's half-sister.
