I am looking for information about Thomas Monroe Gillespie born March 17, 1821 in either Penn or Tenn. In 1839 he married Nancy Agnes Hunter(or Agnes Nancy)in Bond, IL. I think she was born about 1820 in Tenn. Thomas Died in 1894 in Phillipsville, CA. I am trying to find the names of Thomas's or Nancy's parents and if the had any siblings. I have heard the the Gillespie family had a family meeting at the beginning of the civil war that didn't go well. Some fought with the north, some with the south (I think they went to Texas) and my part of the family came out west. Any help would be great.
