Caryn - I found residents of house number 4 in Farran, Causeway, Kerry. Mary Hussey was 47, John 19, James 18, Michael 15, Kate 11, Patrick 10, Maria 4, Thomas Carroll 78 and Mary Carroll 72. I believe my grandpa was Patrick, who died in Covington, KY on 3/9/42. His parents are listed as James and Anna. I'm still looking and hoping. By the way this census page I'm referring to was in 1911.

Did Kenneth ever work in the lumber camps? Edith had told a story about him having a very bad temper...and almost killing a man. I believe he was prosecuted yet did not have to go to prison. Of course this was told to us second hand. Many stories were told to us about Edith also. Yet after meeting all of my Mothers brothers...the stories had another side to them. Poor Edith was abandoned by the world...including Kenneth. She was forced to sign her first born and only daughter off at the age of two. Edith's father (Eugene Arris) and his brothers all worked in the logging camps at one time or another. We were told Edith also worked at the logging camp for a short time. I guess she did some cooking there. We know she worked at various shoe factories. She was in some trouble at the age of 21...and awhile later met and married Ted St.Pierre...they called him Sam. I will try to find the paperwork and what we have found about Kenneth. I did my search mostly on Edith. I found everyone...it was amazing. I went to school and was friends with my cousins...I never knew. I even worked with them in the nursing home as a teenager. I defended them from bullies and never knew they were related. Until one day my cousin was talking about her grandmother...and everything she talked about, rang a bell.I had heard these stories before about a grandmother I never knew. I never said a word. Then my daughter went to school and worked with her cousins..So one day my daughter Heidi came home and I explained to her what I knew. The following day she asked her friends what their grandmother's name was, and they said Edith Arris St.Pierre. Heidi and I joined this site...and the investigation was on. LOL. About a month later my Mom's brothers flew in from Tenn., N.Carolina, and different parts of Maine...and today they all keep in contact. Kenneth was alot harder. We found Great grandparents, grandparents, wives, Kenneth's handicapped brother...yet we had no idea of my Mom's siblings. My Mom was raised an only child. Just think, as of now she had 9 siblings. She was Edith's oldest...I donot know if she was Kenneth's oldest. Makes me wonder if I went to school with any of the relatives. I went to Edward Little...Mechanic Falls, Poland and Minot all went to school with us. God has a way of bringing us all together...yet we keep missing the boat. LOL. I guess we never take time to get to know people. If we did...we may find they are our family.

My e-mail is beesgrandma22@yahoo.com...I would love to see a photo of Kenneth...Thank You

God Bless You
Love Therese

Im not sure on his brother. I am going to have lunch with an aunt on Weds who is willing to talk about some things that have been very quiet...to get some answers to things that we havent been able to answer. Kenneth is buried in South Paris across the street from Shaners, with other family, and I know that on memorial day, someone, unsure who, always places Dad flowers, and uncle flowers...we just dont know who. I did find out today that there was a brother to dad and your mom that passed about 10 years ago. My dad had found out about him about 4 weeks after his passing. He never went by the name Hussey, he was adopted by his mothers second husband. Kenneth died when my dad was 3. He wasnt involved in his life before that either. Kenneth was not tall, I believe they said around 5'3. My dad was 5'2, and I am 4'11, so I think that was a family trait...lol. As for the ears, thats a family trait too...Kenneth had them, as well as the red hair. My dad had them, as well as my sister, and now my son. I do have a couple of pictures of Kenneth if you would be interested in a copy of them. They are very few and far between. Just send me an email, and I will gladly make a copy for you. Would love to see any information that you can find, its amazing me what is coming out. The count is now at 6 children.....3 boys, 3 girls...I will be taking a trip to the archives in the next couple of weeks, and I am still working at finding Debbies last name. You are far from being a pest!! I am so excited to have found you!! Maybe someday we can sit down together and compare notes...Its a wonderful feeling to find someone that is part of you, who is just as interested in finding the answers.

Take care and talk soon!
Shannon

My daughter and I did a search about 5-6 years ago...Kenneth also had a brother that was physically challenged...Do you know what ever became of him? He would have been your Dad's uncle...My Mom's also...LOL And everyone elses. We saw that Kenneth had been married quite a few times. We also found that your Father's grandfather must of fought in the civil war...because his wife was getting a pension after he passed. I wish I had everything here in front of me. We relocated to Maryland a couple of years ago. We lived in Maine our entire lives. Everything has been in storage...so if I can get to this paper work I will let you know what we found. You probably know as much if not more. We found most of our information through the census. I believe it was the one in 1920 and 1930. We know that Kenneth's Dad was a Painter at one time...I believe his Mother worked in the shoe industry. I do not know what kind of a man Kenneth was or what led him to be the way he was...It's all very sad. Was he a tall man? My Mom is only 5 feet tall. Her real Mother was also tiny. My Mom had blonde hair and blue eyes...she was so tiny at the age of two...she could walk under any kitchen table without bowing her head. She would walk directly under. She was a little peanut. Thing is she looks like your Dad? Who has the poppy out ears...Because my Mom has them? LOL Do you have first and last names of my Mothers other siblings? You said this Debbie lived in Mechanic Falls...What is her last name? I hope I am not a pest...I am just very curious.

God Bless You
Love Therese

Trust me when I say that I know the type of man he was. That has been evident through talking with my dad, and going to the archives. There is another Half sister. Her name is Debbie. Dad had found her, and they had become quite close. With his passing, her number cant be found, so I have no idea where she is, or if she even knows about dad as of yet. She was living in the McFalls area for a long time, and Im not sure where she is as of now. We're trying hard to find her. Thank you so much for the information. As much of a not so nice person as he was, he is still our biology, and we so want to fill in the blanks of our family tree, and maybe someday, find the people that should have always been a part of dads life, and ours as well. My email is justshae73 @ yahoo....feel free to email me anytime....I will keep you informed if we find anything else, or if we find more "Family"....thank you again!

He is also my Mothers father. I have the birth certificate...She was Named Marlene Raye Arris...Her Mother was Edith Arris...Father Kenneth L. Hussey. Edith was from Mechanic Falls Maine. At the time I believe he worked in the shoe shop. She was only 17 when she had my Mom. She held on to her as long as she could. She was then adopted by my grandparents (Caron Family) on her 4th birthday. They had cared for her from the age of 2. She was born on Feb.6,1938. I just wanted to know what kind of a man he was.I am so sorry about your Dad's passing. This is when I found out my Mom had a brother.I saw the write up and could not believe my eyes. I also found all of my Mom's brothers on the Arris side. They are St.Pierre's. Edith went on to marry a St.Pierre. She had 4 son's...the only daughter she ever had, she had to give up. She lived a very sad life. My Mom on the other hand was adopted by a wonderful family. But the abandonment issues have always been with her, She is now 71.

We are still searching for more information. I will definatly let you know if I find any information for you. My father has just recently passed away, and my grandmother wants nothing to do with talking about the past. So we are at a slight wall. We do know that there were three other siblings. One daughter..Debbie, whom we found, and now have lost again.... and the two others we have found no further information for. I will definatly add this to my search, and keep you informed if I find anything.

I was wondering if you found any information on Kenneth L Hussey? My Mother was born in 1938...Her parents were Edith Arris and Kenneth L Hussey...They were very young and she was given up for adoption. Edith held on to her for a few years and finally had to let her be adopted. My Mothers given name was Marlene Raye Arris. They were never married...We found Edith...sadley she was deceased...My Mother was her only daughter...she had four sons and raised two more that were not her own. I do not want to disrupt anyones lives...especially my Mothers. She has had abandonment issues most of her teen and adult life..I would just like to put a little closer in her life. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Any history..any thing about what kind of a man he was...Just the truth. Thank You
Therese Rejane Lamontagne Asselin

Yes! My g-great Aunt Anna lived with my g-g-g-grandparents (Christene & Walter Hussey). Mother said the children were "double cousins". This fits with Fenton marrying another of the McQuown's. I can't remember what happened to Aunt Anna's parents, but I will ask Mother. I do not have any information on the McQuowns past Robert McQuown and Annie Elizabeth Blackart (his second wife & mother to Christene. Please give me any information/stories you have on my ancestors. It's exciting to finally find a connection!

Re: Elijah Hussey & Elizabeth McGill ... Ohio

As long as it's been, I'm sure you've found this information, but as it is not here, I'll post this.

Elijah Hussey and Elizabeth McGill are the parents of Walter Fowler G., Rebecca Jane, Mary Emily, Stephen M., Fenton A., Eliza M., and Jacob A. Walter Fowler G. Hussey was my grandmother's grandfather. I do not know what the G stands for. Seems like an awfully long name.

Walter married Christina McQuown, daughter of Robert McQuown and Annie Elizabeth Blackart. They had three children: Lloyd Elijah Hussey (my g-grandfather), Estella D. (Hussey) Seaton, and Norah L. (Hussey) Francis.

Lloyd married Hallie B. Jones. They had identical twin daughters: Frances Estelle (Hussey) Silvius - my grandmother, and Mary Christene (Hussey) Canaday - my great aunt Mary, who is still living in Lathrop, MO at 96 years of age.

Frances Hussey married Aden Beatty Silvius. They had two children, both still living. Mary Sue (Silvius) Brawner, my mother, and Robert Beatty Silvius.

Sue Silvius married Charles Richard Brawner. These are my parents.

I do not have exact dates with me, but I can get them if you need them. My grandmother (Frances Estelle) did much research for DAR, of which she was a member.

Hope this helps someone - I'd love to be in contact with my long lost relatives again!

Paige

I received a letter from a Charles Hussey about a guy with the same name as me that was married to a Jackie Otto. I'm sorry to say that I'm not that person. I was born in the Mankato Mn. area and raise there. The only Otto family I ever knew where a family with that name next to my folks lake cabin out at lake washington which is just NW of Mankato,Mn. I was married to a Nancy Jans. Might be interested in that Jackie Otto. Is she rich?

I have friends who have gone to Ireland and found my cousins in County Kerry and thereabouts. I've tried to contact them but no luck. His name was Patrick James Hussey.

Hey Cousin Kate! Took hiatus from searching for our family but back at it. Anything new your way? I hope things have gone ok...hope to hear from you. For everyone else....Kate and I believe that the "John somewhere out West" was my grandfather, John E. Hussey born Haverhill, MA in 1877. At some point along the way, he presented himself as William J. Clark and ended up in Michigan, "married" to Rosalie (Rosie) Boussicaud. We only learned about the name diff in the past few years. ---- Mary Ramirez (>Clark>Hussey).

Hi,
I'm not sure how to contact Debbie or Junerose02 on here re CONEY of Dorset. I'm researching Coney of Cranborne and Wimborne St Giles. I have all the OPC transcripts and have also visited Dorchester History Centre and copied Coney from their transcripts. However, I am still having trouble linking family members. Mine start from Christopher born 1792 to John and Elizabet (Gummer, I presume) married 1788 Cranborne. Christopher I believe moved to Ringwood, Hampsire along with parents, John & Elizabeth. He married Mary Ann Hodges in 1819. My ggrandfather Robert was born there 1832 and married Jane Colbourne, 1854 and migrated Australia 1855.
regards
Robert Coney
Melbourne, Australia.
Email: coneyrobert@gmail.com
