Janis -

I have Huson / Hughson ancestors, last one being a Jane Huson b. 1801. She married a Salma Hawley. She was from the Albany area, and he from around Glens Falls. They ended up in Erie County, where my greatgrandfather was born. Huson was also spleed HEWSON sometimes. The story is that her father was a loyalist, so all his non-loyalist children chose to spell there last names any way but HUGHSON. My great grandfather did a great deal of genealogical work in the 1800s, but mainly on the names SOUTHWICK and HAWLEY. I cannot find your names in his work, but will keep looking. In your research follow your spelling, then know that it most likely will change at some point in time. These are siblings I would guess. They are contemporary with my great grandfather, as he was born in 1856, in Erie County. Jane Huson was his grandmother on his mother's side.
Good luck, Diana
