Classification: Query
Surnames: Hutson, Hodson, Hodgeson
Our DNA matches--maybe someone will connect:
our oldest proven John (b. c. 1793 NC) married Sarah Little and Lucinda Mitchell.
We have a good match with Abraham Hutson 9b. 1790-1800 - died 1860), early settler of Hamilton Co IL, wife Abigail.
I'm 99.9999% certain that John and Abraham were sons of Moses Hutson and Betsey Randolph. He fought in Am. Rev. from Caswell Co NC. Appears to have moved to Rutherford Co NC, eventually to Livingston Co KY, and finally to Hamilton Co IL.
Now here's the latest twist:
we have an equally close match with a HODSON, who traces his line to Hodgeson in Sudbury, Suffolk, England.
I've always thought I'd see Hudson further back, but this is a surprise.
Any thoughts?
