I've traced my family's line of Hutts back to South Moor in Oxford. In the 1970s Oxford and Berkshire boundries were redefined so it is difficult to say which county with certainity.
Jesse Hutt was born circa 1838 in South Moor; he married Sarah Martin (b.circa 1847) from Wantage (now Oxford, then Berkshire). According to 1881 census returns there are other Hutts born in South and North Moor (perhaps a brother, and a sister Maria - who was working in service in Oxford)
Jesse and Sarah came to London sometime before the 1881 census and had a son Henry b.1872 in Acton, daughters including a Maria, and another son Frank.
Anyone who can give me any further information on Hutts in Oxfordshire Berksire, I'd be grateful.

Jesse and Sarah settled in Acton, London - their children included Maria, Frank and Henry - my great grandfather. Henry and his wife, Ada Diaper, moved to Canada at the turn of the century with their young sons, Harry (Jess Henry), James and John (Jack). They came back from Toronto after the 1st WW - Harry settled in Fulham where he met Catherine King - my grandparents.

Any info much appreciated
