What was the time period of your George Hymes? My grandfather's name was William Frederick Hymes, and I'm sure he lived in Junior, WVa at some point, because that's where my mother was born. William F Hymes was born 1/29/1926 and died 9/2/1979. His father was George Hymes and his mother was Mabel Calain (unsure of spelling). They also had four daughters. I guess Mabel's family changed their name to avoid being caught, as they were stow-aways from Ireland. They say there was also a Cherokee woman in the Hymes line.
