You certainly have a valuable family heirloom. Most likely Sarah made the sampler when she was twelve and then added the last two children to it when they were born. I cannot think that she would have made errors in the work when it was done when her brothers and sisters were all living together.
The sampler if true, then makes my great great grandfather a son of Henry Hynson rather than his brother Matthew. My great grandfather was Matthew Mason Hynson and he was born in Deleware circa 1824. I assumed he was named for his father because he carried on the tradition and named his son Matthew Mason Hynson. I have little information on Henry Hynson other than the was the son of Henry Hynson and Sarah Mason who had 4 children: Henry, Matthew Mason, Ann M., and Sarah. Henry died Dec 20 1794 leaving behind minor children.
Oh my...my family tree just got tangled up again. But I am grateful for the information.
