Looking for information on the above relative - he was born in Urr, Kircudbrightshire in 1878 & died 15 November 1915 in Castle Shannon, Pittsburgh, PA, USA. Samuel's parents were Robert Hyslop b. 27 April 1836 in Buittle d. 27 July 1895, and margaret McAdam b. 1850 in Closeburn. Samuel was one of fourteen children, the others being Alexander b. 1881, James b. 1883, Jane b. 1887, Robert b. 1868, Agnes b. 1875, Maxwell b. 1873, Nellie b. 1895, Jessie b. 1892 & Helen b. 1894. I have recently discovered that Samuel departed from Glasgow on 15 August 1913 on board SS Grampian bound for Quebec, Canada at this time Samuel was 35 years of age, occupation blacksmith, single and travelling alone. Any further information regarding Samuel would be appreciated as would information regarding anyone else in the family.
