I dont know if there is any connection to your family but i am connected to an ibbertson from yorkshire. His name was John Henry Ibbertson and he married my great grandmother Elizabeth Ann Nichols. This was her third marriage and her previous names were Crosfill(maiden name) Deighton,nichols and finally she died Ibbertson in 1962 John died in Jan 1949.
