Hello Peter,

While researching the Ibison family I saw your post re. picture of Catherine Ibison, she may be my grandmother, my father Cecil William Tucker was her son born in 1900. I'm actually trying to trace her husband William Tucker don't know very much about him, he died before I was born and I only have a very distant memory of Catherine as she died when I was very young. Would much appreciate it if you could give me any information.

Sincerely,

Mary E. Crane

Terry, You are quite welcome. Your grandmother Bessie and my grandmother Virginia "Chastain" Parks are first cousins. Grandma's mother was Mary Ida Ibison, sister to your William B. Ibison. They are the children of George Charles Ibison and Viola Josephine "Baker". Marion has been keeping me posted on the health and well being of your grandmother Bessie. She told me she has tried and would love to get in contact with you about your ancestry. She also said it was fine for me to give you her email address but I will let you first try to get in contact with her as I don't want to post her email on a public forum. I hope you understand. Again though, if you wish to get in contact with me, my address is gwparks@comcast.net.
Gary Parks

I have her email address but would like to ask her if it is okay that I send it to you. If so, I can give it to you and you can get in direct contact with her.
I'm researching my family tree (just started)
and so far have found my great grandfather's
details - he was born 1867 (James George)
married to Louise Rosina in 1895, in Walkden
near Manchester. Most of the Ibison's seem
to come from Preston/Garstang or thereabouts.
There are currently around 65 Ibison families
listed in the UK telephone directory.

Ibison Family of England

Am researching family roots on the Ibison/Hughes Family. My maternal grandmother, Blanche (Ibison) Hughes. Lived in Lancashire, England late 1800's. Married Robert Hughes and gave birth to my mother there, in Bolton in 1901. They migrated to America in approximately 1913, coming to Pawcatuck in Connecticut. Grandmother Blanche was a concert pianist and also performed in light opera. There were two other children besides my mother, Blanche (Hughes) Schofield, late of Newton, Massachuetts, and Thomas Hughes, late of Norcross, Georgia.

Teresa Ibbison of Goosnargh

I am looking for information about Teresa Ibbison and her family. I believe she married Thomas Holden around 1849 and that they had 8 children, one of which, Richard was my g-g-grandfather. I believe that she was born around 1820 in Goosnargh to William and Sarah. I have found this info on the LDS website. Any further information about Teresa's family would be very welcome.

Bernadette,

I'm assuming you're Bernadette Smith and you and I were neighbors on Stillman Ave./Liberty St. in our childhood. I have some information on both your Hughes and Ibison lines if you're interested. Drop me an email <larryokeefe@aol.com> and we can share info. I remember your mother and father well. Wonderful people ... I remember your mother as the church organist and your father on the radio. And, of course, the years that they both ran the Catholic Library.

Larry O'Keefe
