NY/MI Ide family

hi all, I am trying to find information on William Ide born in NY around 1828 and married to Eveline Pierson also born in NY. Married and l
lived in MI at least through 1880 census. Eveline was William's second wife-the first was also from NY and was called M.J. in the 1860 census. The farthest back I can trace William without a doubt is the 1850 census in MI. I have scoured everything I can find and have not been able to get any further. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am just starting the search for the family of Ides of Michigan. The farthest back I know of is Orin and Elizabeth Ide. My grandmother, their daughter was Geita Ide. She was married to Lewis Allen. Orin and Elizabeth were circuit ministers for the Methodist church in central Michigan around 1880.

Hello, as far as I know my family and I are the only Ide's in Mississippi. My grandfather's family is from Michigan, so if there are any Ide's which originated from that part of the country, drop me a line..I'd love to start doing geneology work but it's been hard because a lot of my grandfather's family (including he) is dead. If anyone has any info. please feel free to e mail me. Thank you

Wishing all Ides around the world a happy new year.

Do any of you know of any Ides in the UK? There are a few that I know of, but I'm sure there are more and would be interested in any information.

Some information you may be interested in if planning a trip to the UK. There is a Church, St Mary the Virgin, Upwaltham, Sussex, England, that has mainly Ides burried in and around the building. I have been there myself, it is quite astonishing!

Joel
Frankfort, Maine Ides, desc. of Nicholas of Rehoboth, MA

I had heard about a cemetery containing Ides in Frankfort, Maine. Though I live in Maine I had never visited it. Today I did. The graveyard, known as the "Ide Cemetery," is on the back side of Waldo Mt. up a very rough dirt road. It is mud season here and it was raining, so even with 4WD it was an adventure of sorts. The little graveyard (about 25 ft. by 40 ft.) is enclosed on all sides by large rectangular slabs of granite, creating a wall about 2 to 3 feet high. The cemetery is surrounded by (and almost overcome by) woods. The stones are all largely intact, but none of them is standing. Some are propped up. Inscriptions can be read, but today was not the day for that; another time. A veteran places flags at the graves of the 3 vets in the cemetery (Rev. War and War of 1812). It's a great place, almost magical. Go to http://www.rootsweb.com/~mewaldo/francem1.htm to see a listing of those buried in the little Ide graveyard in Frankfort, Maine.

My Ide line

My Ide line has been traced to Foster, RI in 1800. Oliver Ide and sister Phobe are left in the care of Deacon Joseph Tucker by dad Jesse Ide, who supposedly owns land not far away in Glocester, RI. I don't know where Jesse came from(although there is a hint it may have been NY state) or where he went. Oliver married Penelope Hopkins Dorr and lived and died in Foster. His death record said mother was Sabra Ide. I have fairly good info forward and would be happy to share, but not back. I know about the Massachusetts Ides, but I can't link to them and really don't know if I ever will. Everyone seems to work on that family, but I have only found one other working on my line.
William Ide
515 Westmoreland Place
Jackson, TN 38301
901-423-8332
