Carolyn,
This is not directly related to your post but sort of.
My great-grandfather was an Ideker in Plymouth Couty, Iowa
near Hinton. This weekend I went to the Indiana District
LWML convention in South Bend, IN. There I met a lady
named Ottilie. She was the spitting image of my grandmother
Amanda Ida Emma (Ideker) Howe. She had Ideker ancestors. Now how small a world is that.
Kathy

I am a descendant of Ottilie Schmidt Rabeneck and Louis Conrad Rabeneck (Ottilie's mom was an Ideker). They named their oldest daughter Otillie. My grandpa was one of their younger children, Elder Rabeneck. The Rabenecks and Ideker cross and intermarry in a couple of places, I think. I think they were cousins of some sort anyway. I may be able to help you with some of this if you still are looking. Many of the Rabenecks and Idekers still live around here (Stuttgart, AR). Let me know specifics that you are looking for.

Ideker Family

Hello, I know that I am a few years late for the reunion. lol That is okay. What I was wondering was this. Do you have any information on any of these people that I am about to list. Ottilie M. Ideker, Oscar W. Ideker, Otillie Rabeneck, Louis C. Rabeneck, Otille D. Schmidt and so on? I am in a search for my family history. I was just blessed to know were I come from. I have only had my dad's side that I knew of. But, now I have been completed. If this rings a bell, I would be greatful for any dates or names to help me continue my family tree completion. Thank you Lyn

Sue,

I am also doing research on the Joe Blair Pearce family. Joe is my husband's great-grandfather as follows:

Joe B. Pearce
Fred Oscar Pearce
Elizabeth Carol Pearce

I understand that you are a descendent of Joe B. I would like to discuss a couple things with you!

Kristine

Sue, My great-Grandfather was Fremont Frederick
Ideker of Plymouth County, Iowa. He was born
in eastern Iowa, but his father came from
southern Germany. I have church records
dating back to the early 1700's in Germany
of the Ideker family. Do you know where your
Ideker family came from? Perhaps we are
distant cousins as Ideker is not a common
name. I will share my info with you if you
would like. Also, my Grandmother, Amanda
Ida Emma (IDEKER)HOWE, will be celebrating
her 100th birthday in June, 2002. We are
planning a Ideker-Howe reunion at that time
in Hinton, Iowa. Perhaps if we are cousins
you would like to attend.
There is an Idecker in my family line, they settled in the Brownsville, Minnesota area, and the father would be Henrich Idecker, whose daughter Caroline married Christopher Lutjen in mid 1870s.
These two left the Brownsville area and settled in the Lake City, Minn area where they had a family of five, one of whom Anna was my Grandmother.
I believe there was a cousin or sister, who married a Gleason from the Lake City area.
would this be in the family tree of the Ideckers you have?
Duane

Re: Caspar Holzhauer

Casper Holzhauer bornJuly 19th, 1865 Solz, Nassau-Hessen, Germany married Augusta Emmaline Ideker Feb. 14, 1869 died July, 1939 and was buried July 11th, 1939 Pine Bluff, Arkansas. His father was Henry J. Ideker born possibly
Nov. 10, 1837 Reburg, Hanover, Germany died Oct. 24, 1924 Ulm Arkansas. He was married sometime before 1869 to Mary Cathrine Imrote (spelling may be off and could be Emrote or Emorte) who was born in 1848 Illinois and it appears her mother's name was Augusta. The above information is some that I just came accross when looking for information on Clarence Holzhauer (son of Casper born in 1901) He was married to Odia Jacks (Jacgues) who was a sister to Dortha Jacks Musgrove -wife of Charles Henry Musgrove (the las two are my maternal grandparents. The father of Odia and Dortha was Dr. Odia Marshall jacks.

While I do have this information I do not have any recordable evidence right now - If anyone has any records that they would be willing to share I would appreciate it. Likewise if anything that I have will help I will gladly send it to whoever needs it.

my e-mail address is "kds9737@hotmail.com"
