Hi Mike,
My name is Andrea Ikenberry, and Wilbur Allen Ikenberry is my ggfather too. My grandfather is Edward Ikenberry, your grandmother Maurine's brother.

I know that all the Ikenberry children eventually moved to California after their mother's death, when Wilbur was able to come too. Edward stayed for some time with Wilbur's mom prior to the move.

I would love to discuss this more with you and hear what you found out about the Maxwell line.

I actually fouund another variation of Ikenberry to spelled Eichenbeere - translated as fruit of the oak.

Wilbur Allen Ikenberry, Iowa

I seem to have hit wall at my ggfather. He was Wilbur Allen Ikenberry (b.4/30/1896, IA d.8/171944, CA). He married Lelia Mae Maxwell (b. 5/1899, Butler Co., IA d.1928) in Iowa and had at least one child, my gmother Maurine Elizabeth. Lelia Mae is buried in Butler Co. IA, but at some point (perhaps after Lelia Mae's relatively early death) at least Wilbur and Maurine moved to CA. Maurine went on to marry John Henry Morgan.

I can get past Lelia Mae and up the Maxwell line, but can't find anything at all about an Iken-/Eiken-/Eichen- -berry/-bury/-berg with a Wilbur A. child.

Sound familiar to anyone? Any clues would be appreciated.

Ikenberry(Eikenberry) / Harshbarger / Miller Letters

I am trying to locate some letters dating from the early to mid 1800's between the Eikenberry and Miller families of Virginia and Ohio respectively. They are now in the possesion of someone in the Harshbarger family of Virginia. This because the recipient(s) were the Ikenberry family who intermarried with the Harshbarger family down in the Rockingham, Botetourt and Franklin county, Virginia area.
It is related to me by a fellow Brethren researcher in Indiana that in the 1970's or 1980's he was talking to a Mr. Albert Harshbarger of North Manchester that the family back in Virginia had possession of a whole trunk full of letters with some of them being as early as 1804 between Virginia and Ohio.
Being a Brethren historian I am hoping to locate these letters as they have a wealth of information on the forming of the German Baptist congregations of Ohio as they were being formed.

Hello, I just went to the Ikenberry reunion in VA and some of my relatives had some small writings from Wilsie Clayton... I ordered the book (1955) for almost 100 dollars... but now I am trying desperately to find "little mountain of echos" and "Back from Boston-1910" I think these were only printed for certain members of the Ikenberry family... but I would love a copy... even if just a copy machine copy... does anyone know where I can obtain this??? I am desperate... Thanks

I am looking for descendants of Virginia (Ivey) Ikenberry, a daughter of Madison Richard Ivey. She was born in Ottawa, KS, about 1888. (She might have been called Virgie.) She married William Ikenberry and in 1914, when her mother died, they were living in Ottawa, KS. In 1920. they lived in Pueblo, CO. In 1950 they were in Sacramento, CA. When and why they went, I do not know, but would like to.
.
I would like to contact a descendant of Virginia's and William's to share info and photos on the IVEY family, in exchange for info about Virginia and her husband's IKENBERRY family. Would be greatly pleased if you can direct me to someone from that family who might be able to help me.
Mary (Ivey) Kramer
mimah2@yahoo.com
Lost Ikenberry relatives

I am looking for descendants of Virginia (Ivey) Ikenberry, a daughter of Madison Richard Ivey. She was born in Ottawa, KS, about 1888. (She might have been
called Virgie.) She married William Ikenberry and in 1914, when her mother
died, they were living in Ottawa, KS.

I am a descendant of Madison R. Ivey's brother, Charles Wesley Ivey, both
sons of Thomas J. and Sarah (Boicourt) Ivey. I have been researching the
families of the 14 children of Thomas and Sarah.

I would like to contact a descendant of Virginia's and share information about the IVEY family, in exchange for infor about Virginia and her family. Would be greatly pleased if you can direct me to someone from that family who might be able to help me.

Mary (Ivey) Kramer
mimah22406@excite.com

Hi Amy, thanks for answering. My father's family are from Missouri, but I know that all Ikenberry's are related somehow. If you could give me your dad's name, maybe I can find out where in the chain of Ikenberry's we are related.

I am related by marriage, George Samuel(John's brother) married my great grandmother's sister, Sally Wine.
These photos plus other Ikenberry photos are posted on my web site. I am trying to identify many of my photos that were not marked. Look on the very last page for the photos of Susan and her family. Feel free to download any photos you might want. I am in contact with George and Sally's grandchildren. If you would like to email me directly I am at stuandsher@earthlink.net
Sherri

Hello Ikenberrys,
I am looking for anyone who is related to me by the surnames of Ikenberry/Wine/Dragoo. I have just received a huge box of old photos from the family of Bertha Ikenberry (my grandfather's cousin)for this side of the family. They are from the late 1800s-early 1900s. Most of them are not marked so I need help identifing them. And of course I will share them with anyone who is a part of this branch of the family.
My email is sawoods@mindspring.com
Thanks, Sherri
