Iland/Island Family in Sligo

The information that I have has come from various sources,
Emily Iland traveled to Sligo and even talked with a relative who runs an inn. She has done research on the family. Also a cousin, Joan Thyne, in Canada gave me a great deal of information. My grandmother was/is Eva Iland, no middle name, her father was James Iland born in Ballymote, Sligo
his father was Michael Iland also born in Ballymote. Michael married Alice Moore. Michael's father was John Iland. He is buried in Ballymote and fought in the Crimeon war. My aunts, who are now gone traveled to Ballymote quite often and said that the only thing left of the homestead was the foundation. The cousin in Canada wrote quite a narrative on James, my ggrandfather. It seems that the family came across during the potato famine and settled in Canada.

I have given the bulk of my information to my son, Larry Arthur, who lives in El Paso, Texas. Whatever information I have I will be willing to share, if anyone is interested.

Regards,
Dianne Deignan Arthur
