Hello! My name is David Ilczyszyn, I live in Poland. Family Ilczyszyn live mainly in southern Poland near Zywiec and like me in Kalisz (central Poland). I do not know my family from Ukraine. I would like to learn as much about my ancestors and all the history of my family. If you have any questions I will answer them. Soon I will write here the names of grandmothers and grandfathers from the Ilczyszyn.

My Grandfather Iwan Ilczyszyn later changing his name to John ILCZYTYN is from the Ukraine. He was born June 27, 1927 and died in the US in 1986. It states on his death records that he 2 surviving brothers and 1 sister, but names are not listed. It also shows his parents as Anna Ilczysyn and Michael Ilczytyn. I am not sure if her last name was a typo or if it's really her maiden name. He married Mary (Marey) Prokopczyk. Let me know if this sounds familiar. You can also contact me at kilczytyn@aol.com.

Hello,

I am not sure if we are related maybe not, but if your
grandfather came from the village of Zywaczir, in the
Tloematskij rayon, Province of Ivano Frankiwska, Western Ukraine, we could be related, although the name ILczyszyn
is very random, it comes from the first name ILKO, just as info.
I myself live in the U.K.-England., but do not have many family left anymore, with the name ILczyszyn.

Kind Regards,

Andrij

I am looking for the family with the last name possibly Ilczeszyn. My last name now is Elcyzyn. it appears to have changed in the early 1920's. A man named Joe Ilczeszyn came to USA in 1911 from Austria/Hungary? Landed in Galveston TX and moved to Harrah Oklahoma a catholic community.

Have you heard of this name?
