I have a record of a marriage between John J. LEACH and Catherine LEFFLER on 18 Aug 1839 in Butler County, OH. She would have been born about 1820 and I do not know his date of birth. In the 1840 census I find a J. J. Leach in Ross Twp., Butler County, OH with a male aged 5-10, a male aged 40-50, and a female aged 20-30. I do not find them in 1850. Does anyone have information on this couple? You can email me direct at ashortnote@psbnewton.com.

The Arner Family Association seeks descendants of:

MINA ILER, Culver Henry Arner, 1861-1921, Gosfield, Essex, Ontario, CAN.

SUSANNAH ILER, Jacob Arner, 1793-1838, Gosfield, Essex, Ontario, CAN.

You are almost certainly descendants of Hans Ulrich Arner and Verena Eberhard, 1735 immigrants from Switzerland to Philadelphia. Join us for an August 24-25, 2002 gathering in beautiful Lehigh County, Pennsylvania (1 hour north of Philadelphia). For “reunion” information or to see where you fit into the *rner family, visit Joe Erner’s website at www.geocities.com/~erner/gen/arner which documents the Arner/Aner family to the 1500s, or contact us through the Arner Listserv at ARNER-L@rootsweb.com. We’re planning two fun-filled days including a catered Pennsylvania Dutch luncheon and the dedication of a memorial stone in the Heidelberg Union Church cemetery to honor the immigrants. Help us widen our circle of cyber-cousins and plan to attend. We welcome you.

Ladies and gentlemen of, and associates with the Iler Clan,
It would be of profound erudition to fathom in the fact that there are 'Iler's' taking residence in a south-west suburb of Sydney, Australia. That suburb being Bradbury, Campbelltown. I have posted this message in order to assist in your search of distant relatives and fellow namesakes.

Yours in humanity,
Anthony Berbar(E)

Another William Iler

Next to nothing is known about William. He lived in Jackson County, Georgia, in the 1820's when some of his children were born. In 1840 a child was born in Clarke County. William was living at the time of the 1850 census apparently.
His wife was Nancy Wood, children Mary, Sarah, Alfred, William, Elizabeth, James, Jesse, Susan.
The family was unusual in that they were the first in my line in that area who were not farmers. They worked in factories in Athens, later moving east to work in cotton mills in Augusta and South Carolina.
This is not the same William who was in Bulloch County at the same time.
