"We have talked way back in the past, several years ago. I need to re-examine what you know compared to what I know since so much water has flowed beneath the bridge.
You mentioned that you wondered why Nancy Iles Thompson is not buried next to her husband Archibald. You are believing that Archibald is buried in Merryville, La. What cemetery are you thinking he is buried in? The only one I know of is the Cannon cemetery where William Thompson, the son of Archibald is buried. Williams wife is not buried next to him unless it is in an unmarked grave. William's tombstone is one that was placed by the Daughters of the Confederacy. His middle initial is expressed as an M. but I have strong circumstantial evidence that his middle initial was F. for Frederick. His offspring had the name Frederick as a middle name or Fred and some of his grandchildren had the name Frederick. It was also common on his wife's side of the marriage. The Craft's had the name Frederick in thier name.
Where do yo think Archibald is buried and also where do you think his wife is buried? I have evidence that Archibald lived in Cass Co. Texas for many years. I also have strong circumstantial evidence that Archibald had several more children than just William. William is my GG grandfather, Archibald is my GGG grandfather and his father, John Thompson is my GGGG grandfather. William Iles Sr. is my GGGG grandfather, his son Wm. Iles, Jr. is my GGG grand Uncle, his wife Nancy Thompson Iles is my GGG grand Aunt. And on down the line to today.
I have much more info about Archibald and am open to anything that will shed light on him and even if it completely reverses my idea of what happened to him.
Marie Iles mentioned in one of the emails here that she had requested the will of a James Thompson. Is this the same James Thompson that was a son of Demcey D. Thompson born in Texas. This Demcey D. Thompson is important. I have info on him where he is buried, who he was married to and who his children were and who his father and mother was. Get in touch with me. WE might be able to trade information.
Regards, Ronald Thompson
