Classification: Query
Surnames: IMBODEN, COLLIER, TYNES
Ed was the son of Joseph Samuel "Teed" and Josephine "Josie" [ISBELL] IMBODEN.
About 1901 he married my great grandmother's sister Francis Elizabeth TYNES [30 September 1879 - 11 April 1950] the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Margaret Anne [COLLIER] TYNES.
According to the 1910 census of Cape Girardeau Co MO they were the parents of:
Jewel IMBODEN born ca. 1902 in IL
Otis IMBODEN born 20 June 1904 in MO
Hazel IMBODEN born ca. 1907 in MO
Vera IMBODEN born ca. 1909 in MO
Ed, Francis, Hazel and Vera appear in the 1930 census for Columbus, Lowndes Co MS. [Hazel and Vera are dance teachers, gotta love it!]
Otis appears in the 1930 census for Memphis, Shelby Co TN with his wife and family:
Thelma M [wife; b. 21 April 1905]
Margarite IMBODEN born ca. 1926
Otis IMBODEN Jr. born ca. 1928
According to the SSDI Otis died Dec 1967 and Thelma in Aug 1980.
Otis [or his son] seems to have been a photographer for National Geographic during the 1950s and 1960s.
Is anyone familiar with this IMBODEN family?
