I am seeking information about the IMPSONs of New York, prior to 1840. What is the origin/nationality of the name? Did the IMPSONs come from Ireland-England? Seeking parents of Benjamin IMPSON, who served in four different New York units during the Revolutionary War. I have his descendents.
