Hi Jinnuy: I realize it's 12 years after your post but I just started checking the name Ince on this message board. I have an Ince family tree diagram drawn by my father's sister-in-law Many, many years go. Some one had added the name of Carlotta Caraciollo as the 3rd wife of Hugh Ince. The name Carlos is listed as one of 7 offspring of Carlotta and Hugh.
Hugh Ince appears to be one of 4 offspring of Elliott Ince who married
(?) Powers in Trinidad.
Elliott's parents were Edward Ince and Lavinia Clauseq(2nd wife).
Edward Ince was 1 of 6 children of George Adamson Ince and Agnes Elvira(?) Howell (m. 1845).
George Adamson Ince was the son of James Ince and Elvira Hinkson
(m. 1799)
James Ince was the son of
John Ince (b.1735) and Mary Adamson (b.1742) (m.1763).

I HAVE NO DOCUMENTS TO CONFIRM THIS INFORMATION, JUST THE SOMEWHAT FADED XEROX COPY OF THE ORIGINAL HAND-DRAWN FAMILY TREE.
Hope you find this info to be helpful even at this late date.
Anderton Ince ? wrong Christion Name. Appreciate Help.

I am absolutely 'stumped' re my search for my 3rd Great Grandfather Anderton Ince.I can find no trace of the name Anderton anywhere in my family tree.He was born in Wigan around 1772,was married to Mary and had 1 son Charles. In the 1841 Census I found Mary age 50, an Elizabeth Ince age 40 and Marys son Charles age 25 yrs. Anderton was not listed. The 'Anderton' maybe connected with Anderton village near Wigan where he was born or perhaps Anderton was a middle name.I have also tried using different family christian names to no avail.Im fairly new to ancestry searchng so would greatly appreciate any suggestions.Thank you, Anne H. nee Ince,Liverpool

Thank you for these details Kathryn.

I have not done any more on this family. So I don't know if William and Maria had children. I know after William Ince died Maria married James Williams 1855 but no issue I know of.

Couple of date queries, which I need to get proof of.
William Attwell died 1851
William Ince married Maria - 1849
Joshua Attwell born 1850

If these dates are correct - see the problem. Is Joshua actually an Attwell or Ince? How could Maria have married before her first husband died?

Shirley

Not sure if you have got any further with your research, but I know a little about William Ince (he's my great grandfather many times over)?

He was born in Walsall in 1801 to Thomas (Shoemaker) and Margaret he married his first wife Amelia Mills in 1823, they had 6 children and after she died he married Maria Atwell.

He died of Consumption on 23 September 1854, I have a copy of his death certificate.

I don't know whether he had any children with Maria.

I'm trying to find out where his parents were from and have hit a complete block to date!

Hope this helps.
Sarilda Jane Ince

I am trying to find any information regarding Sarilda Jane Ince. Evidently she married my great great grandfather James Monroe Gage around 1866. They had four children: Mary Emma, Albert Newton, Julia Melinda, and John Wesley. John Wesley was born in 1878. Three years later James Monroe married my great great grandmother in Weatherford, Texas. I have found them in the 1870 census living in Hill county Texas, but cannot locate either party in the 1880 census. The next time I find them is in the 1900 census where Sarilda is living in Shackelford county Texas and lists herself as a widow and James Monore and family are living in Hopkins county Texas. We are intrigued by this first marriage and family that James and Sarilda had and want to make some meaningful contact with any of their side. Any information would be appreciated.

Thank you very much for responding. It is very nice to hear from a distant relative, especially someone who still resides in Bromsgrove.

How much do you know about George Henry Ince and Mary Jane Janes? My family was in England in 1985 to find the grave of a great-grandfather on my Jones side (which we found) but only just discovered that both George and Mary Ince were buried in the same cemetery. The name of the cemetery escapes me at the moment, but I'm sure you know which one I am talking about. (St. James????)

Their oldest child Harriet Augusta Ince is my great-grandmother. We know very little about her younger siblings. Can you help us?

Now for the big question: Harriet Augusta Ince married Albert Henry Jones (1861-1910). But nobody can find any sort of marriage certificate. Not even 2 professionals I've hired to find it were successful. Yet Harriet always insisted to her children that they were married in a civil ceremony at the local registry office sometime around 1895. They may have lived around Barry, Glamorganshire, Wales at the time, but nobody is certain.

Do know anything about their marriage? What we are most interested in is knowing HIS parents. It is a brick wall we've been trying to tear down since the 1970's. And nobody knows and has been about to find out.

If you'd rather you can email me directly at rajones007@gmail.com

I sincerely appreciate your help...and it's nice to meet you.

Ann, Margaret Ann Arnold and William Henry Ince are my great grandparents. Benjamin F. Ince and Effie Inez are my grandparents. I have been trying to find out information about Margaret Ann and her parents for quite a long time. A lot of my information is the same as what you have (what little I have). Any more information you would be willing to share regarding Margaret Ann's parents would be appreciated.

I have very little information on Daniel Boone Ince, Sr. or Jr. and their families. Any information would be appreciated. I'll be glad to share information, also.

Donna

Margaret Ann Arnold Ince was my great grandmother. She was married to Wm. Henry Ince. Her father was Joseph Arnold and her mother was Mary Ann Warden. When Joseph died, before Margaret Ann was 10 years old, her mother married James Riley Emberlin in 1869. Joseph was in the Civil War. I don't know if he died in the War. I found him on the 1860 Collin Co., TX census living with Mary Ann (18 years old, born in Missouri) and Nancy J. (5 months born in TX). Margaret Ann was not yet born. Joseph was 24 yrs old and born in Ohio. My grandfather was Daniel Boone Ince. If you want more info, I'll be glad to share.
Ann

I can see that a lot of this stuff was done quite a few years ago, but just found this site today. I think that I have a Thomas Ince in my family. My father's name was Gerald (Jerry) Ince. His father's name was Howard Raymond Ince of Louisiana, Missouri. I know that he had a lot of brothers and sisters (how many lived past childhood, I do not know). The last of his sisters died about 5 years ago. Howard was born in 1901. I am LoriAnn (Ince) Kuhn of Washington. Let me know if I can help at all. I do have a lot of stuff stored with names and dates on them, including some Bibles with births, deaths, and marriages. lakuhn5@yahoo.com

Alice Ince/Knox born c1879 Mile End, London.

I am looking for any info on Alice. There is some confusion to what her real surname name was. She used the surname 'Knox' and she 'supposedly' married a George Coram, but records show that she died a spinster, surname Ince. Also her Fathers name is shown as a Thomas Knox? I am presuming that she may have been born out of wedlock, or her real Father left, and she took the surname of the man her Mother eventually married.

Alice Ince/Knox/Coram had 10 children with George Coram. All born in the East End of London c1894 to 1916. Alice is my Great Grandmother, so any information would be great.

Thanks.

I have found a cemetery record for this baby in the Old Gordon Cemetery in Palo Pinto County, Texas. He was born 28 Nov. 1915 and died 21 Feb 1917. Does anyone know who his parents were? I would like to link him to my family of Henry I. Ince of Palo Pinto Texas, but need to make sure he does not belong to someone else. Those dates are in line with Henry's other children. Henry is son of John Prichard Ince and Laura Wharton.
