My Grandfather is also from Sinait Ilocos Sur, I think they are related... His name is Felix Bautista Ines, but he passed away some years ago, my father Roy A. Ines and his elder sister Ruby Ines Britton are well and God willing meet other Ines relatives. Thank You

Hello Carissa,
Lost contact for a few years. My family is vacationing in Kona this November for a nephew's wedding. I have 3 brothers and a sister to join us. The whole clan will be there. It would be nice if we can get together when we get there. I have some Aunts and Uncles that live in Waikoloa and Waimea, who might know your families. They are on the Yadao side of of family and their last names are Ibarra and Corpuz. Please reply and let's get our families together.

I am looking for more info on my great great grandma called Margaret Jane Ines born in Nova Scotia around 1854. She married an English soldier called Christopher Atkinson and had a son Harry before moving to Lancashire in England UK.
Harry was 6 in the 1881 census in UK.
Any info on her or her family would be very much appreciated.
I live on the east coast of UK.

we bought a timeshare condo at kona coast resort 6 yrs ago and just sold it last year. we've visited kona about 6 times now and we plan to visit again this thanksgiving. let's plan on having a family reunion. we have cousins in waikoloa. rudy & aida carlos, mr. & mrs. bernard corpuz, sonny ibarra,peping & anding copuz. we visit them all the time. i graduated from college with a couple of people from kona also. jerry medeiros and joyce haverkate. joyce is married to zac(who used to own some photo shops in the island) please keep in touch.

I'm glad you replied :) My grandmothers maiden name is Rivera but shes from some where else in P.I. ( i'm not too sure ) But my grandpa is from sinat and we still have a big amount of family still living there . I got the chance to go there when I was 13 ( about 4 yrs. ago ) and it was a real change from the U.S.. My grandfather came to Hawaii when he was 17 I belive and he had to lie about his age to come here with his father. They lived in Kauai (more of my family is settled in Kauai)for a few years and met my grandmother and moved to the Bigisland (where we are now) My grandfathers brother is also here ( crispin yadao ) oh yes my grandfathers name is (John F. Yadao)We have more family here but not much . Well I hope that was good for now , I'll be asking my grandparents more about our family history and getting back to you ... alohas.

it's a small world. yes, my maiden name is ines, and my mother's maiden name is yadao. i am sure we are relatives. my grandpa also came through hawaii around 60 years ago. his name is ciriaco yadao and he settled in washington until he passed away. He had two kids,(jerry & fely; both deceased).fely is my mother. both of my parents are from sinait. there are five of us siblings living in washington now. tell me more about your family. it's so great to find someone like you. hope we can have more contacts. reply asap.
