I have been researching the family of Philip Ingersoll and Elizabth Bousman(Bowman)using the material posted by Melissa Ward which I think came from the Ingersoll book. There are 2 girls missing from that information. One of them is Anna who married John Ireland and died in 1825 and is buried in the Malta Ridge Cemetery in Saratoga Co., NY and the other is unaccounted for. In the 1790 census there are 4 females in this family and in 1800 census there are 2 females under 26. They would be Anna and one other. Lydia was married and in her own home by 1800. Also I wonder if his marriage with Elizabeth could have been a second marriage for Philip. John and Isaac do not fit in with the 1790 and 1800 census. If the Isaac living next door to his father in Bainbridge in 1810 with a female over 16 is the same Isaac who was living in Saratoga Co. in 1800 with 2 females under 16 the date that the book has does not fit. I found in the 1850 census a John Ingersoll born 1767 and Christina Ingersoll b 1776 living in Savannah, Wayne Co., NY with the family of George and Polly Ingersoll. According to the Ingersoll book Savannah is where John's family lived and he had a son George.
