Can anyone help me find William Inman, son of Powers Inman. I have scoured 1870 and 1880, but can't identify him. I did find him in his father's home in 1860, listed as 6/12 yr, and then a marriage record in 1890 in Illinois when he married Emma Lucinda Hiatt. This marriage record says his parents were Powers Inman and his 2nd wife, Matilda Smith. Peoria newspapers hail his mysterious disappearance in 1897 when he supposedly went on a fishing trip with his dog... never seen again.
Emma divorced him in 1901 and Charles Stein.

I sure would like to find him in 1870 and 1880. His marriage record to Emma Hiatt says he was single, but it is possible that he did marry sometime before that.

Can anyone help me with this?
