Alexander Innes was born in Scotland and was transported as a prisoner because he was a Scottish soldier during the Civil War in which Oliver Cromwell was Lord Protector of England. He finally settled on Block Island, Washington Co., Rhode Island where he died on 9 Oct. l679. If possible, I would like to get information on his Scottish genealogy?
