John Hemry Inscore married Laura Matilda Burchett in 1875> She was born 1862 in NC and died 1931 in Galax, VA.John Father is Daniel Woods Inscore, His Father is Jordan Inscore, His Father is Reuben Jr., His Father is Reuben Sr., His Father is is Abner Inscoe, His Father is Edward Inscoe... John Henry Inscore was born 1856 in NC and died June 14, 1925 in Galax, VA.. John Henry Inscore lived in Allegheny County,NC before moving to Galax.

I am looking for Lee Inscore who lived in McDowell, WVA around 1920. He married or had children with Minnie Bowers Harrington. She moved to Cincinnati, Ohio by 1930 but he is not with her.

Do you know what year Lee Inscore was born? My husband's gggrandmother married a Lee Inscore in McDowell, WVA where she ran a boarding house. Her name was Minnie Bowers Harrington.

Leviticus V. Inscore

My grandmother Myrtle Lee Inscore was the daughter of Levitcus V. Inscore. She was born in 1897. Census records show that her mother was Mary but family says no it was Molly. Further, I can find no records to show who Leviticus' parents were. The 1900 census shows them living in Franklin County, North Carolina. Any help you can offer would be appreciated very much.

John Henry Inscore

John Henry Inscore is my Husband's ggrandfather. John Henry married Molly Burchette. I believe his siblings were Thomas W, Callwel, Isom Daniel and Cloey Cloak.

We believe John Henry was a miner and worked to have the union come to the mines of WV. We would appreciate any info someone may have on this.

John Henry had several children, Walter, James, Isom ,Lee, Alice, Laura, Molly and my Husband's grandfather Rufus Harold (Viola Turman).

Just got your message.Mother pasted away Feb.10 2005.Jessie is buried in Caney,Ok.It has been a real hard time for us.We also lost a brother to cancer in March.Maybe he can meet me at a cafe sometime.Where does he deliver to in town?

I'm just starting to try and find the origins of the name. My name is Robert C. Inscore Jr. I believe my grandfathers name was Francis Clifford Inscore. I have been told the name originates in Scotland. My wife and I went to a Scottish fair close to our home recently but could not find the name listed with any of the clans. I would be interested in any information you have on this subject.

I am one of Roger Inscore's children, I met Sheilah years back when I was finding family, as I had been adopted.We lost track and I have been trying to be in touch with her ever since, as I miss her dearly.I now live in the UK and am married to a lovely British man.I am tryig to locate as much family as I can, as I don't feel I have learned as much as i would like to about my fathers side.Any help in either finding Sheilah or learning more would be so appreciated.

Yours is an old message, but I think I might have some information for you. I believe the Ira Inscore of which you speak is the brother of my grandfather, Thomas Joshua Inscore, and that your Ira was possibly the father of my Uncle Jewel Ira Inscore?

Isom Inscore is my great grandfather. His father and mother wa Daniel Woods Inscore and Elizabeth Kapp..

Was recently at the National Archives in DC ..found Daniel Woods Inscore Civil War record. Loved to coorespond with you and exchange information. Our family is located in California. My grandmother was Alice Inscore and Isom was her father.. they lived in Kansas..

I am so glad to hear from you.... Yes I put this on here awhile ago... But I no longer have my web tv, LOL. I moved to Smithfield and miss everyone so very much...... I am trying to get another place I have been thru so much since we last saw each other. Anyway, it feels real good to hear from you and to see that a response from MY UNCLE lol ....... Right now I am at the Smithfield library. This is where I come with my daughter Destiney. Now I will be sure to be on again alot sooner.. No I didn't know that we were 2/3 Cher. Cool. Can you tell everyone that I miss them all so very much.

Just read your post, about Martha, Thomas's first wife, I think she died in El Paso, TX., could be Atoka county, Oklahoma? They were married in Tenn., March 11, 1899. Do you know if granddad Thomas J. had any siblings? Do you know his father's name?

Sorry, but I was referring to Lloyd E. Inscore whose father was Thomas J. Inscore, not Daniel Lloyd Inscore whose father was Woods Inscore. Perhaps futher up our family trees we might be related, but I do not know of any connection at this time. If you happen to find any Avery/Avary, Candy/Gandy, Garney, Frederick/Frederic/Frederik, Arnold/Arendell/Arrundel, Hammers/Hammer/Hanmer/Hamer, Youngblood, Dugas, or Layland/Leyland surname connections, please do let me know. I'll Try to help you all I can.I've been trying to find the grave of Marth Inscore,but have had no luck yet.My Mom says she died in Brownstown Ark.But I have looked and nothing so far.If
anyone has a way they can get the death certificate maybe it has the name of the cemitary on it.My Mom says Jessie was taking care of her when she met Thomas.They had a store in Brownstown.It is about 30 miles from Texarkana.Write me back please.

I am working on some Texas Inscore families. Leslie Raymond Inscore, born in Arkansas, son of William Walter Inscore, born in Texas, son of Darlin Inscore, born in North Carolina. In 1860 Mary Inscore, mother of Darlin is living with William and Eliza Ferrell in Granville Co., North Carolina. Can you help me with this family line, fill in any gaps. I do not know who was the father of Darlin, Joseph, Henry, Benjamin, and Richard. I find in the 1880 Hays Co., Texas Census that Darlin is married to Mary and they had William. In that household was living a brother Joseph. Two Dwellings away are William and Eliza Ferrell with adopted sons Henry, Benjamin, and Richard Inscore. Thanks for any help.

She was born between 1790 and 1800 in either Virginia or North Carolina, and on 3 Jan 1816 married Sterling Harden of Granville County, North Carolina. Beyond that I have nothing more on her family, and I have nothing on Sterling's parents and ancestry.

I am related to GW Radford and Sallie Inscoe and interested in any information you would like to share. GW & Sallie's daughter, Mary Radford, was my Great-grandmother. I have some information - mostly on Radford/Mosely/Varker sides, but I'm very interested in pursuing this line to complete. Also, I understand from one of the other postings that you had/have a book on the Inscoe family. I would be very interested in getting a copy if it's still available.
