Rootsweb has just approved the creation of a YOSCO (IOSCO) surname mailing list. This list will cover *all* forms of the surname including the common misspellings such as Fosco/a, Tosco/a, Losco/a. (I tried to get a list for IOSCO, but since it's also the name of a county in MI, they wouldn't approve it - too much confusion!)

It is my hope that all of you will join so that we can all share our family histories & try to trace back our heritage. Even if you're not terribly interested in this line - your few facts may just help someone else! :}

I have done some birth record transcription from my ancestor's home town of Castelmezzano & will be posting it for everyone to check out. There are so many IOSCO families there that they've got to be one of yours! :) I will also post all the census info I can find for any Yosco/Iosco/etc. I come across since I have access to quite a few. I also have the Italians to America CD, so please feel free to request some lookups!
