Not sure how I may fit in here, but I am researching YOVINO (spelling as found on some old letters) from the Nola & Caserta areas.
Info I have is on Enrique Yovino, who was born in Nola, and died in Brooklyn, NY in 1943. Wife is Regina Garzanti; they had 5 children, including my grandmother.
My grandmother is Josephine Nicolina Yovino (married Ciro Gargiulo from Vico Equense, arrived on the Hollenzerren - spell?? - in NYC in 1903 ). She was born in Greenpoint, NY.
Any matches out there???
Fran
PS: my apologies if it takes a bit of time to respond - AOL & my computer are, ahem, not on good speaking terms at the moment.
